Easter Baking

We celebrated Easter early this year since family was in town a couple weekends ago. I volunteered to make the dessert, knowing full well I wanted to make Gimme Some Oven’s BEST Carrot Cake. Now I’m not the best cake decorator but I wanted it to be a little rustic but obviously in celebration of Easter and springtime. I remembered seeing the crunchy asian noodle bird’s nest cookies and wanted to figure out how to imitate it without going out and buying the noodles. But what could I use instead?…Pretzel sticks! I broke up a bunch and left some whole, and began placing them haphazardly to look like a nest. I then topped with a handful of what else? Robin’s eggs!


The cake was a hit! Everyone loved it!
