I’m Brittany and I’m a nutrition student, horse woman and newlywed living in Northern California.
I moved across my state and got engaged to my now husband in 2010. We bought the namesake of this blog, a fixer-upper little white trailer (or manufactured home to the real estate market) on a piece of land with plans to transform it while we planned a wedding and put down roots together.
I went back to continue my college coursework and discovered my passion for food and nutrition. This began my journey with nutrition and learning about real food and cooking whatever I could myself. I had fought through digestive problems for most of my life until this point, trying whatever diet that claimed to help me. The key ended up being “real food” and stress management. Today, I aim to prepare as many home cooked meals I can, and paying attention to what I’m putting in my body all while still treating myself once and awhile.
Our lifestyle is rural and DIY. We stay active outside working on our little piece of land and that little white trailer. I hope to use this blog to chronicle my adventures, discuss my favorite topic, food and share any tips I can to make healthy living more accessible for everyone!
